Mixed media sculpture-nails, tree limb, tree wedge, stain, burnt brown paper bag, glue.
Approximately 7” wide x 14” tall
A few years ago a storm blew a tree down in my front yard, as my tree was being cut into small pieces to be hauled away I kept one small part of a limb and a wedge. After several month of allowing it to dry out I carefully began carving the bark away, I was unsure what I was creating at the time and then it hit me that the front and back of the limb resembled the anatomy of a man and a woman. This photo shows the front and back of the finished sculpture.
