I was given the gift of creativity and it keeps me grounded. As an artist, my lifestyle is challenging but it is all I know and one that I love. A jack of all trades and a master of none in time I am seeing that the harder I work the better I become. My desire is to leave behind a body of work that visually, melodically and through words inspires those who experience it…even after I am gone.
Born and raised in Central Florida, Sheri O’Neal relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in 2001. From the time she was a young child she has passionately surrounded herself with photography, art and music. A commercial photographer by trade, her photography style captivates her audience and tells a story. She adds a unique journalistic touch to her imagery sometimes with words sometimes without, creating a poetic vision that is both profound and timeless. Along with her photography Sheri produces dimensional art from found objects, paint, pen and poetry. She also is active as a singer and songwriter.
Over the years Sheri has reinvented herself many times and matured as an artist. She say’s she has never felt so at home as she does in Nashville.
“There seems to be this incredible force of creative energy here and I love being in the presence of all the visual artist, writers and performers. There are so many talented and creative people in this town who understand the hunger I have of being creatively expressive and for the first time in my life I feel like I fit in.”
Sheri currently resides near downtown with her best buddy (german shepherd/wolf mix) Deisel and is constantly creating new work.
